Recent genealogy research has revealed that Roger Corn is a direct descendent of Clemmonds (Clemons) Quillian Chandler. Chandler was the first documented potter found in the Gillsville area (1860). Chandler is rumored to have come to White County, Georgia from Edgefield, South Carolina, but records show that he was born in Franklin County, Georgia. Chandler's works are highly collectible. We are interested in learning more about Chandler. If anyone has any photographs of Chandler's works (we've only found a few) or any stories or information about Mr. Chandler, please contact us at rogercorn.poettery@gmail.com.
